We would like to take a moment to recognize Kaylah Martinez of our Tulare Club! We are lucky to have had Kaylah on our team for the past two years. She is a source of stability for our members, assuring them that she is there for them no matter the situation.
We would like to take a moment to recognize Reyna Montero from Oak Grove Club! Reyna is an enthusiastic and thoughtful Youth Development Professional who currently works with kindergarten and first graders.
We would like to recognize Monica Fernandez, Ivanhoe Club's Lead Staff, who has been on our team for the last 4 years! Monica grew up in Ivanhoe herself and is committed to making a positive impact in her community.
We would like to recognize Patty Pena, a Tulare Club staff who has been with us for 3 years now! Patty is an extremely friendly, caring and passionate person. She is the first person our Tulare members see when they walk through the doors of the Club!
We would like to take a moment to recognize Tom Johnson, who has been part of the BGCS Family for over 20 years now! During his time on our board he has served as President and is currently a member of the Executive Committee.
We would like to take a moment to recognize Scott Pratt, who has been on our board for the past 10 years! Over this time, he has been board president, been on several committees, and is currently on our Executive Committee.
We would like to recognize Kristy Galvan, who has been on our team for 3 years now! Kristy is currently the lead program staff at the Visalia Gindick Boys & Girls Club. Her role as a program lead is to assist her director with any needs regarding staff and members.
We would like to take a moment to recognize Dustin Stewart, the Vice President of our board! Dustin has been on our board for approximately 5 years and we are so grateful for his contributions to our team.
We would like to take a moment to recognize Gary Herbst, who has served on our board as treasurer for about 15 years now! Gary Herbst has resided in Visalia for the past 28 years, where he and his wife raised their two children, Kevin and Kelly.
We would like to take a moment to recognize Carlos Aleman, a member of the board of directors and member of the executive committee! Carlos resides in Exeter and is the Managing Broker for the Real Estate Sales Division of The Equity Group.
We would like to take a moment to recognize our featured staff member, Star Ramos! She is the Unit Director at our Ivanhoe Club and she has been with us for almost three years.

We would like to take a moment to recognize Jeff Beck, our Board President! We are lucky to have had Jeff on our board since 2015. Jeff resides in Tulare and is the CFO at The Lagomarsino Group. He dedicates a great amount of his time to the Boys & Girls Club.
We would like to recognize Luis Castellon, our 2019 Youth Professional of the Year! Luis is a Youth Development Professional at Burton Middle School. He has been with us for the past three years—we are very lucky to have him on our team!
We would like to recognize Christian Cervantes, our 2019 Youth Director of the Year and Farmersville Unit Director! Christian has a passion for sports and has played an integral role in the establishment of our sports leagues.
Our Visalia, Tulare, Farmersville, Ivanhoe, Exeter & Strathmore Clubs have been improving their skills by practicing and meeting up for games every Tuesday in Farmersville.

Galen began at the Boys & Girls Club of Fresno County, where he served as a director for ten years. For the past twenty years, we have been so lucky to have Galen as the leader of our team.
"From such a young age, I've wanted to be a teacher. I've wanted to impact people the way that certain people in my life did to me." Julissa has been chosen to be our Youth Development Professional MVP of 2019!
They have recently celebrated by inviting their supporters and friends of the Club to a Strathmore Open House—consisting of food, Club tours, guest speakers, and family fun.

The sports field has been named in honor of Bob Felts Sr., who dedicated his life to community service and established the first youth center in Ivanhoe.
