Our Featured Board Member: Dustin Stewart

WE WOULD LIKE TO TAKE A MOMENT TO RECOGNIZE DUSTIN STEWART, THE VICE PRESIDENT OF OUR BOARD! DUSTIN HAS BEEN ON OUR BOARD FOR APPROXIMATELY 5 YEARS AND WE ARE SO GRATEFUL FOR HIS CONTRIBUTIONS TO OUR TEAM.

Dustin resides in Visalia and is a Certified Crop Advisor with Ultra Gro. His passion in life is helping others and practicing service above himself. Dustin has been a part of the Ivanhoe Lions Club for many years now, and it is through the Lions Club that he came to know the Boys & Girls Club.

It all started when Scott Pratt and Kris Ritchie, who are also members of the Ivanhoe Lions Club, invited Dustin to become involved with fundraising for the facility that is now the Ivanhoe Boys & Girls Club. He then joined our board and began working alongside others for the construction of the Bob Felts Sr. Sports Field, located in front of the Ivanhoe Club.

Dustin said, “The Ivanhoe Unit has been near and dear to my heart. These kids are going to be great leaders—they already are. Our Clubs take the kids on field trips, whether it is a farm tour at Scott Pratt’s walnut farm, to Hearst Castle, or on college tours. The kids are just so excited about it. I see how genuine these kids are, how they hold themselves to a higher standard and hold each other accountable. They watch out for each other and they are so giving.”

“Don’t be afraid to get involved because everybody has something to offer, whether it be by giving financially; or by sharing a talent, a trade, or a service. These kids really benefit from it. It makes more of an impact than you can ever imagine. It is a ripple effect. This is where you make the change that you want to see in the world—right here with the kids,” said Dustin.
