This year we are celebrating our 30th anniversary with fifteen Clubs in eight communities, serving 2,400 young people.
The first Boys & Girls Club in Tulare County began in Exeter in 1993 when five community members saw too many of their young people engaged in anti-social activities like painting graffiti and vandalism. Another Club was started in Visalia in 1997 by a group of people wanting to provide opportunities to kids and help them aspire to big dreams. Soon, individuals and communities throughout the county started Clubs to provide safe, positive places for kids.
Good things start with people like you, wanting to enhance kids' lives and make a positive difference in your community. It takes individuals willing to work in our Clubs on a daily basis, serving on our board of directors, and giving personal resources.
