Our Featured Board Member: Carlos Aleman

WE WOULD LIKE TO TAKE A MOMENT TO RECOGNIZE CARLOS ALEMAN, A MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND MEMBER OF THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE!

Carlos resides in Exeter and is the Managing Broker for the Real Estate Sales Division of The Equity Group.

He is passionate about taking care of our staff and facilities. He prioritizes supporting the efforts of the staff as they directly work with Club members as mentors. Carlos said, “It is the staff of the Boys & Girls Club that make the difference in the lives of the kids. It's their passion and love that will spark the match in these kids. I believe more than ever that one of those kids could possibly be the one that changes it all for the better. It only takes one.”

As a young boy, Carlos himself was positively impacted by a mentor who showed him compassion, gave him guidance, and introduced him to higher education. As a son of field workers, it was difficult for him to picture a future for himself that was any different. This mentor showed Carlos that many other career paths were available to him and assured him that he was not stuck in the neighborhood he grew up in.

“I chose to be a part of the Club because I believe all kids are good and if given an opportunity through knowledge, they will turn out to be good hard-working adults that will, in turn, help other kids and adults get a hand up. I believe these kids can make a huge positive difference to society. I believe they need to be given guidance and be shown which 'road' to take and put in the work needed to accomplish their goals,” said Carlos.
