Tulare Boys & Girls Club Supporters Donate to COVID-19 Relief in Response to COMIX Fundraiser Cancellation
For Immediate Release
TULARE, CA, June 11th, 2020 -- Every year, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sequoias (BGCS) holds their Tulare COMIX fundraiser event, benefitting the Tulare Boys & Girls Club. This year COMIX was cancelled in response to COVID-19, yet this did not stop supporters from making their contributions to the Club.
Many Tulare Club supporters had made their donations to the COMIX event before the 2020 COMIX fundraiser was officially cancelled. However, nearly all the supporters urged BGCS to keep their donations, regardless of the cancellation. As a result, a fundraising total of $63,750, originally intended for the COMIX event, has now been contributed to a Tulare COVID-19 Relief Fund for Kids!
BGCS is immensely grateful for their supporters’ commitment to the kids and families of Tulare. They would like to recognize all of their sponsors and supporters who pivoted their donations from the COMIX event to a Tulare COVID-19 Relief Fund for Kids:
